A level French | Y12
This term, our students will focus on topics related to education, work, and political commitment. Among other things, they will talk about work-life balance and will discuss the influence of young people on political matters. Grammar points will focus on the present conditional, on the reported speech and also on indirect object pronouns.
Pace: 1.5 hours weekly
A level French | Y13
This term, our students will focus on all things political, from the right to vote to protests and strikes (we all know how much the French like to protest!) Among other things, they will talk about specific political parties and will discuss the rise of certain parties or political figures. Grammar points will focus on subjunctive and indicative structures, cleft sentences, and also on a variety of sentence builders, such as connectives and time markers.
Pace: 1.5 hours weekly
GCSE French | Level 1
Throughout the term, students will go over a variety of grammar points, including the passé composé and the use of reflexive verbs.
Pace: 1.5 hours weekly
GCSE French | Level 2
Throughout the term, students will work on exam techniques using past papers, interactive grammar activities and speaking practice to boost their confidence!

This term, our students will learn how to discuss social medias and apps but will also learn how to buy a new digital object and have a dialogue in a computer shop. By the end of this term, they will also be able to present an Internet celebrity that they admire and say why. Grammar points will focus on the alternation between the passé composé and the imperfect (past tenses), but also on the relative pronoun dont.
