    French Activities for Schools Oxford

Free workshops in your school

Alliance Française d’Oxford can offer a one-hour free workshop in your school for most age groups. Part of our charity mission is to reach out to Oxfordshire schools and promote the enjoyement of learning French. One or several of our qualified French native teachers will lead a age-appropriate French workshop in your school, with fun learning activities and games and/or cultural presentations. We limit our presentations to 30 pupils at a time.

French Day à la Carte

We can design custom-made activities for your students in a full day of French immersion. Your programme could include a combination of activities such as a film projection, a workshop based on specific learning targets, lunch at a French restaurant, and a themed museum visit in the afternoon. Past 2-hour workshops designed by teaching experts have been the theme of love in French literature and poetry, iconic scenes of French cinema, and French pronunciation clinic. We cater to primary schools, GCSE levels students, and 6th form. The workshops take place either in your shool or at the Alliance Française d’Oxford.

Activities for teachers of French language

Alliance Française d’Oxford wants to support the French teachers of Oxford! We aim to revive the enthusiasm for teaching French with activites designed exclusively for teachers. Join our new Club de lecture (for fluent speakers) led by our literature expert and meet other teachers. Or try our Pronunciation Clinics, a fun way to improve phonetics for non-native speakers. Vive le français!

Certifications DELF

For yourself or for your students! The DELF, DALF and DELF Junior are official French proficiency diplomas, for adult students (DELF or DALF), and for teenagers (DELF Junior for 12-17yo).  They certify the same CEFR levels (A1 to C2) but with different topics. No prior test or certification is needed, and your results are valid for life!

It is a great opportunity for your students to demonstrate their French language skills, be rewarded for their work at school and get used to sitting exams. Contact us as soon as possible for registration in order to be best prepared for the DELF exams.
